Olá pessoal!

Venho compartilhar com vocês um pouco de como foi meu natal!

Já adianto que não teve luxo ou festas em lugares chiques, não, eu não foi festeira. Na verdade não curto socializar - haha -  e por isso sempre busco celebrar de forma mais na minha e sem alarme. O natal foi em casa com meu melhor amigo e meus gatos, mas foi muito gosto e especial mesmo assim!

Decoramos a casa com alguns enfeites, mas confesso que a árvore foi montada quase no último minuto - pois meus gatos são os destruidores galáticos de árvores de natal!

Como aqui é inverno -  e esse ano está congelante, boa parte da noite e dia de natal passamos enrolados em mantas e gatos.

Hi everyone!
I’m here to share with you a bit of how my Christmas was!

I’ll say in advance that there was no luxury or parties in fancy places, no, I didn’t go out partying. I’m actually not much into socializing — haha — and because of that I always try to celebrate in a more private way and without any fuss. Christmas was at home with my best friend and my cats, but it was very cozy and special anyway!

We decorated the house with a few ornaments, but I confess the tree was put up almost at the last minute — because my cats are galactic destroyers of Christmas trees!
Since it’s winter here — and this year it’s freezing, a big part of Christmas night and day was spent wrapped up in blankets and cats.

A árvore

Na árvore colocamos alguns enfeites que comprei na minha primeira viagem para Londres, em 2012, e alguns símbolos celtas bem celebrativos que ganhei do meu mestre de tarot anos atrás. As bolinhas elas estão presas nos galhos com braçadeiras, se não, a árvore não duraria nem um dia decorada. Os ursinhos são de um kit com xícaras natálinos super fofos que ganhei.
Lógico que de tempos em tempos, tinhamos que encaixar de volta um ou outro galho que era arrancado pelos "destruidores galáticos de árvores de natal", e de tempos em tempos, sempre havia um grito "Saii daaaaaiiiiii!"! Haha Mas isso já é tradição no meu natal em casa!

The Tree

On the tree, we put some ornaments that I bought on my first trip to London in 2012, and some very celebratory Celtic symbols that I received from my tarot master years ago. The baubles are attached to the branches with cable ties; otherwise, the tree wouldn’t last even a single day decorated. The little bears are from a super cute Christmas mug set that I received as a gift.

Of course, from time to time, we had to fit back one branch or another that had been pulled off by the “galactic destroyers of Christmas trees,” and from time to time there was always a shout of “Get ooouuut of theeeere!” Haha. But that’s already a tradition in my Christmas at home!

A ceia de natal

Eu e meu amigo combinamos; eu fazia a ceia e ele o almoço de natal.

Como a ceia é a noite, não quis fazer nada muito pesado para não pesar na hora de dormir. E como somos 2 "velhos" em corpos de 30 anos, também não iamos durmir muito tarde.

Então na ceia fiz uma sopa de tomate e torradinhas. Fiz um post ensinando a receia para vocês e vou deixar p link aqui: Receita de sopa de tomate.

A sopa está deliciosa e super quentinha, repetimos várias vezes, enquanto tomavamos uma chá de maça, canela e gengibre que o meu amigo vez. E comemos um bolinho tradicional português de natal, chamado "sonho", que me lembra bastante os "bolinhos de chuva" brasileiros.

Já no dia seguinte, eu me aventurei a fazer pães para comermos durante e tarde, mas como fiz muito tivemos que guardar no frezzer um pouco da massa.

Christmas dinner

My friend and I made a deal: I would make Christmas dinner and he would make Christmas lunch.
Since dinner is at night, I didn’t want to make anything too heavy so it wouldn’t feel too much when it was time to sleep. And since we are two “old people” in 30-year-old bodies, we also weren’t going to stay up very late.

So for dinner I made a tomato soup and some toast. I made a post teaching the recipe for you and I’ll leave the link here: Tomato soup recipe.
The soup was delicious and super warm, we had several servings while we drank an apple, cinnamon, and ginger tea that my friend made. And we ate a traditional Portuguese Christmas pastry called “sonho,” which reminds me a lot of Brazilian “bolinhos de chuva”.

The next day, I ventured into making bread for us to eat throughout the afternoon, but since I made a lot, we had to store some of the dough in the freezer.

Os presentes

Eu ganhei do meu amigo, 2 livros; A gata que salvou o natal e O gato que nunca partiu. Eu já estava de olho no livro A gata que salvou o natal, há algum tempo, e então ele me deu. Já li, e logo mais farei uma resenha dele aqui no blog! 

Meu amigo também me deu vários produtos de cosméticos e um par de meias de parecem minha gatinha Sissi! E de outra amiga ganhei um livro sobre a história da arte contada com gatos haha

The gifts

From my friend, I received two books: The Cat Who Saved Christmas and The Cat Who Never Left. I had already been keeping an eye on The Cat Who Saved Christmas for some time, and then he gave it to me. I’ve already read it, and soon I’ll write a review about it here on the blog!

My friend also gave me several cosmetic products and a pair of socks that look like my kitty Sissi! And from another friend, I received a book about the history of art told through cats, haha.

For my friend, I bought the book I’ll Prescribe You a Cat, which I’ve already reviewed here on the blog for you, and I highly recommend this book! I’ll leave the link to the post here: I’ll Prescribe You a Cat.

 O natal foi bem tranquilo e caloroso - assim como deve ser! E claro que o ano novo foi na mesma energia, assintindo Senhor dos anéis - um dos meus filmes favoritos, e vendo os fogos pela janela.

Christmas was very calm and cozy — just the way it should be! And of course, New Year’s was in the same spirit, watching The Lord of the Rings — one of my favorite movies — and watching the fireworks through the window.

I thank everyone who follows me here on the blog and on my YouTube channel for the year 2025 and for all your support.
