Assisi - Italy: Final Day (PT|EN)

Olá pessoal!

    Esse é o último post dessa viagem para a Italia que fiz... mas certamente não para sempre, pois quem me segue aqui a anos, já sabem que eu frequentemente vou para lá visitar meu pai. Então não é um "adeus" completo, e sim um "até logo". Hehe

    Nesse último dia, tive que acordar cedo para ir para o aeroporto, então não tive mais tempo para passear pela cidade. Apenas passei no hotel do meu pai para me despedir (chorar*) e ir pegar o trem que iria para Roma - onde era o aeroporto.

    A viagem de trem até o aeroporto, é de algumas horas. Mas claro, que isso depoende do trem que pegar. Pois normalmente a gente tem que fazer baldiação em outra estação, e tem alguns que vão direto. 

    Chegando na estação Roma Termini, eu costumo pegar um ônibus que vai direto para o aeroporto. Em  2025, a passagem estava por volta de 6 euros.

    This is the last post from my trip to Italy… but definitely not forever, because those who have followed me for years already know that I often go there to visit my father. So it’s not a complete “goodbye,” but more of a “see you soon.” Hehe
    On this last day, I had to wake up early to go to the airport, so I didn’t have time to explore the city anymore. I just stopped by my father’s hotel to say goodbye (cry*) and then went to catch the train to Rome, where the airport is.
    The train journey to the airport takes a few hours, but of course it depends on which train you take. Usually, you have to change at another station, although some trains go directly.
    Arriving at Roma Termini station, I usually take a bus that goes straight to the airport. In 2025, the ticket was around 6 euros.

    No aeroporto de Roma havia uma marca que me chamou atenção: a MyFamily, uma marca italiana que cria acessórios para pets com uma proposta mais estética e cuidadosa.

    Havia umas plaquinhas de identificação tão fofas e diferenciadas, com um nível de acabamento bem diferente do comum.

    A produção é feita na Itália, em uma região tradicional na joalheria, o que explica esse cuidado maior com design e acabamento. Achei interessante porque foge daquele padrão mais simples de pet shop e traz uma proposta quase como “joias” para pets, mas ainda mantendo a função prática do dia a dia.

    At Rome’s airport, there was a brand that caught my attention: MyFamily, an Italian brand that creates pet accessories with a more aesthetic and thoughtful approach.

    There were some ID tags that were really cute and unique, with a level of finishing quite different from the usual.

    The production is made in Italy, in a region known for its jewelry tradition, which explains the greater attention to design and craftsmanship. I found it interesting because it goes beyond the typical pet shop standard and brings a concept almost like “jewelry” for pets, while still keeping its practical everyday function.

    Durante o percuso no aeroporto; tive um contato direto com a Roma Antiga- haha.

    O aeroporto de Fiumicino estava expondo esculturas e peças arqueológicas originais espalhadas pelos terminais, muitas delas encontradas na região de Óstia Antiga, que era o antigo porto de Roma.

    As estátuas que aparecem ali geralmente representam figuras típicas do período romano, como imperadores (Apolo Citaredo), divindades... Muitas são bustos, que eram muito comuns na Roma Antiga para representar pessoas com bastante realismo. E eram as estátuas originais, e não réplicas!

     During my time at the airport, I had a direct encounter with Ancient Rome — haha.
  Fiumicino Airport was displaying original sculptures and archaeological pieces throughout the terminals, many of them found in the region of Ostia Antica, which was the ancient port of Rome.

    The statues there usually represent typical figures from the Roman period, such as emperors (like Apollo Citharoedus) and deities. Many of them are busts, which were very common in Ancient Rome to portray people with a high level of realism. And they were original statues, not replicas!

    E antes de entrar no vôo, eu TINHA que comprar um gelato italiano (sorvete)! Sim, EU AMO! 

    Confesso aqui que a culinária italiana é a que conheço que menos gosto. Sempre passo perrengue quando chega a hora da refeição na Itália. Mas o sorvete... ah, o sorvete! Eu amo! Na viagem comi um monte deles. E no aeroporto não foi diferente. Esperimente uma sorveteria chamada Venchi, que tinha um aspecto delicioso. Olha esse sorvete com estrelinhas!

    And before boarding my flight, I HAD to get an Italian gelato (icecream)! Yes, I LOVE it!

    I’ll admit here that Italian cuisine is actually the one I like the least — I always struggle a bit when it’s mealtime in Italy. But the gelato… ah, the gelato! I love it! I had so many during the trip, and the airport was no exception. I tried a gelato from a place called Venchi, which looked absolutely delicious. Just look at this one with little stars!

    Bom, como mencionei no começo... não é um "adeus" mas sim um "até logo Itália"!
