Nessa continuação, eu fui na catedral de Valência; um local lindíssimo e que estava aberto para visitação. Estava tendo missa no momento com música religiosa (como você poderá observar no vídeo). Andei um pouco lá dentro, filmei o que conseguir.

In this continuation, I visited the Valencia Cathedral — a beautiful place that was open for visitors. There was a mass happening at the time with religious music playing (as you’ll be able to notice in the video). I walked around inside for a while and filmed what I could.
A Valência Cathedral é um dos edifícios históricos mais importantes da cidade e mistura diferentes estilos arquitetônicos, como gótico, barroco, românico e renascentista, resultado das várias reformas feitas ao longo dos séculos.
O interior da catedral é enorme, silencioso e cheio de detalhes impressionantes. Há vitrais coloridos, altares extremamente ornamentados, pinturas religiosas antigas, esculturas e tetos altos que deixam o ambiente com uma atmosfera muito grandiosa e ao mesmo tempo tranquila. A luz entrando pelas janelas coloridas deixa o interior ainda mais bonito.

The Valencia Cathedral is one of the most important historical buildings in the city and combines different architectural styles such as Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque and Renaissance, the result of several renovations made over the centuries.
The interior of the cathedral is huge, silent and full of impressive details. There are colorful stained glass windows, highly ornamented altars, ancient religious paintings, sculptures and tall ceilings that give the place a very grand yet peaceful atmosphere. The light coming through the stained glass windows makes the interior even more beautiful.
Uma das curiosidades mais famosas da catedral é que ela abriga o cálice conhecido como Santo Graal, que muitos acreditam ser o verdadeiro cálice utilizado por Jesus na Última Ceia. O objeto fica protegido dentro de uma capela especial e atrai visitantes do mundo inteiro.
Outro ponto muito conhecido é a torre “El Miguelete”, de onde é possível ter uma vista panorâmica incrível da cidade de Valência após subir centenas de degraus estreitos até o topo.

One of the cathedral’s most famous curiosities is that it houses the chalice known as the Holy Grail, which many believe to be the actual cup used by Jesus during the Last Supper. The object is protected inside a special chapel and attracts visitors from all over the world.
Another very famous landmark is the “El Miguelete” tower, from where it is possible to enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the city of Valencia after climbing hundreds of narrow steps to the top.
Depois fui na Basílica de la Virgen de los Desamparados - como mostro no vídeo, é um dos locais religiosos mais importantes de Valência, dedicada à padroeira da cidade.
O interior da basílica é muito bonito, com estilo barroco, detalhes dourados, pinturas no teto e uma atmosfera silenciosa e acolhedora. A imagem da Virgen de los Desamparados fica no altar principal e é muito venerada pelos moradores locais.
Uma curiosidade interessante é que a imagem da virgem possui uma leve inclinação para frente, o que fez ela receber o apelido de “La Geperudeta”. Segundo a tradição, isso simboliza a proteção e o cuidado com as pessoas mais humildes.

After that, I visited the Basílica de la Virgen de los Desamparados — as I show in the video, it is one of the most important religious places in Valencia, dedicated to the city’s patron saint.
The interior of the basilica is very beautiful, with Baroque style architecture, golden details, ceiling paintings and a silent, welcoming atmosphere. The image of the Virgen de los Desamparados is placed on the main altar and is deeply venerated by the local people.
An interesting curiosity is that the image of the virgin has a slight forward inclination, which gave her the nickname “La Geperudeta”. According to tradition, this symbolizes protection and care for the humblest people.
Não conseguia entrar em todos dos prédios históricos pois meu tempo era limitado. Logo tive que voltar para o aeroporto para pegar o vôo para Maiorca! E ai sim, a viagem começa!!!

I couldn’t go inside all of the historical buildings because my time was limited. Soon, I had to return to the airport to catch my flight to Mallorca! And that’s when the trip really begins!!! Because in Mallorca, I took so many photos and videos that I’ll be making several vlogs and posts hehe!
